It's easy to find all sorts of evidence to support one's point of view. And if your point of view is Phoenix suffers from a lack of decent parks, then I suppose picking three or four sad excuses for parks may do the trick. The truth is, Phoenix is full of great parks. I don't know the names of most of them but I'd like to list the following:Margaret T. Hance - full of homeless but that doesn't bother meSteele ParkNorth Mountain ParkSquaw PeakCamelbackSouth MountainKiwanis Park Deer Valley Sports ParkButler Park (Royal Palm Park)Huge park in Arrowheadand I'm sure there are many more.
I'm trying to figure out the point of this article. I keep thinking I'm being punked and there's some funny joke behind this. The parks I listed have shade, picnic tables and grills, trails, some have ponds, tennis courts, playgrounds, lots of trees, and tons of space. These parks work for me! Okay, so they don't have statues of Greek gods but I live without that!
