Authority Zero frontman Jason DeVore is one hell of a juggler. He sings and plays guitar in the Celtic-rock band The Bollox, who have quickly attracted a fan base in the Valley, and has a successful career as a solo artist. Thankfully, DeVore hasn't let Authority Zero, his bread and butter, fall by the wayside. The punk-rock act, who formed in the summer of '94 and has had a couple of lineup changes over the years, is still cranking out CDs and touring the U.S. when time allows. The guys recently wrapped up a two-month stretch with their friends Pennywise and Pepper as part of the Jägermeister tour and they have a new disc on the way. DeVore told us that the band hopes to release the album in September. We're guessing the guys will be previewing some new music at their show this week. And if that's not enough for you Authority fans out there, keep your eye out for DeVore. He's a regular at Tempe's Yucca Tap Room, where he's known to stop in for the bar's weekly open mic night and "rockaraoke."
