Ever since we were tortured with “Who Let the Dogs Out” and “Redneck Woman” at our last doctor’s visit, we realized how much it sucks to have someone else controlling our music choices. Remember when mom banned you from playing Marilyn Manson in the house? Sick of your boyfriend’s crappy hip-hop station? Get your sweet revenge at iPod Night, which happens every Tuesday at the w xyz bar at Aloft Tempe. Guests take 20-minute turns playing DJ using their iPod playlists. Anything goes, from Aerosmith to Zappa, but management reserves the right to turn off your tunes if they’re offensive -- or if they flat-out suck.

Sorry, Eminem fans.
