The wispy host of one of the Valley's newest performance channels for local comics is all about stepping up to the plate, much like Pirouznia's self-imposed plunge into comedy. Says the hairstylist by day, comedian by night, “I had some friends who told me that I wasn't funny and I was like, ‘I'll show you!’” For the weekly showcase, she mixes up veteran stand-ups like Kirk Buckhout, John Griggs, and Steve Maxwell with newcomers to keep things fresh and interesting.
