Hallelujah! No longer will you be forced to drink your beer indoors and eat healthy food like some sort of foreigner, because starting this weekend, tailgating season returns to the Valley. It’s time once again to shove red meat and brewski down your gullet in a show of prowess that will inspire admiration in your neighbors and dread in your enemies.

On Saturday, August 22, tailgate your little heart out, then get an up-close look at the defending NFC champion Arizona Cardinals when they take on the San Diego Chargers in both squads’ second preseason game of the ’09 campaign. The match-up features two elite passing offenses. It also represents your best chance to see Cards’ backup QB Matt Leinart outside of a Scottsdale bar.
