For Valley pro-wrestling fanatics, March 28 cant get here quick enough. That red-letter date is when next years WrestleMania XVII comes to town, and the pay-per-view extravaganza (dubbed the Super Bowl of wrestling) promises to be one hell of a party. For grappling groupies, itll be like Woodstock, Christmas, and the only time theyve gotten laid all rolled into one.
If youre one of those types whos counting the seconds until that magical day, considering tiding yourself over with an evening of power slams and punches when World Wrestling Entertainment tapes its Friday Night Smackdown and ECW programs. Such WWE superstars as the pompously straight-edge C.M. Punk (think Fugazis Ian Mackaye, only with much more muscles and sanctimony), the extreme Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio, Christian, and even Phoenixs own Mike Knox will compete.
