Sometimes, too many high-powered, intelligent women in one small pot creates a bitches’ brew of throat-lunging and back-stabbing (we've seen the diabolique that is America's Next Top Model). Regardless, we've got extremely high hopes for Femocracy, the latest in a series of local productions hosted and run largely by females.

Femocracy’s Private Dancer: A Tribute to Michael graces Alwun House’s outdoor stage. Torch Theatre alumni Amy Jean Page is the brains behind the troupe’s inaugural production, and she confirms that the show has nothing to do with that dead guy or his glove. Instead, folks can expect headlining stand-up comedian Kass McPherson, improvisational skits by The Empty Frames Experiment, sketch videos by fellow Femocracy conspirators Jacki Orr and Brandon Huigens, and record spinning by DJ ekb*.

All in all, we're hoping for Sonny & Cher meets Let's Make a Deal.
