Murder, She Wrote

Journalist Camille Kimball memorializes Phoenix’s year of fear

The setting sun's pale, delicate fingers caressed the chain restaurants and MILFy boutiques of Mesa’s Village Square at Dana Park, illuminating the stragglers hurrying into the bookstore. Sure, thought Night & Day reporter Cal Byline, convicted murderers Dale Hausner and Sam Dieteman have been sentenced, but being out in the open somehow still gives me the willies. Then Cal spotted fellow journalist Camille Kimball, author of A Sudden Shot: The Phoenix Serial Shooter. "Way to grab the brass ring, Kimball!" Yup, all Claire did was sit through weeks of testimony, gain the trust of cops, prosecutors, witnesses, survivors, and families, analyze volumes of police reports, and pen a gripping tale of investigators working against the clock to capture and convict two random drive-by shooters who terrorized a community – ours – in 2005 and 2006.

Join Kimball and her fans for a free book-signing.
