The documentary about English artist Tony Foster screens in conjunction with the exhibit "Tony Foster: Searching for a Bigger Subject." Now in his 60s, Foster hikes or canoes into remote wilderness areas around the world (most famously, Mount Everest and our own Grand Canyon region) to capture both the majesty of the scenery and the details of the environment in what he calls watercolour diaries -- paintings with a subtle, playful sense of the interaction between light and landscape, further enriched by maps, notes on area wildlife, and even the attachment of actual, physical souvenirs.
