In WikiHow’s analysis of "How to Write a Symphony," the first step is, "You must know a lot of music theory for the structure and analysis of music." Yuck. That’s too hard. We'll stick to mix tapes and leave the thrilling, grandiose accompaniment to our top local orchestra during Phoenix Symphony’s Season Opener, a sonic boom of a program that includes Beethoven's Ninth Symphony with a full philharmonic capturing the Ode to Joy finale, John Adams' On the Transmigration of Souls, and Mozart's Ave verum corpus.
