Vegan brownies, the only housemade dessert available when I visited Chakra 4, were moist and chewy, if not a completely satisfying substitute for traditional brownies. I preferred the dark chocolate intensity of the raw cacao chocolate cups, sweetened with agave syrup, and the locally made Chakra truffles, with interesting flavors like blueberry-lavender and damiana-rose. I'd never heard of damiana before — supposedly it's an aphrodisiac.

But I swear, I already had a crush on Chakra 4 before dessert.
