ASU presents the film about a "trailer mom" and a Mohawk Indian girl who go into business smuggling immigrants across the U.S.-Canadian border at the St. Lawrence River. Directed by Courtney Hunt and produced by Heather Rae (Trudell), Frozen River was nominated for two Academy Award and snagged the top prize at Sundance.
