Our town isn’t having any of that nonsense when the GoDaddy.com YMCA Half Marathon and Family 5K goes off. The shindig, presented by the Lincoln Family Downtown YMCA, takes place in the beautiful South Mountain Park and Preserve, our own snow-free desert wonderland.

Race-day registration opens at 6:30 a.m. The 5K costs $34, while the half-marathon is $65. Complimentary coffee, bagels, fruit, T-shirts, and goodie bags will be divvied out to participants. Proceeds benefit various programs for inner-city youth.
