Braiiiiiiinstorming for something to do on Halloween? Forget about handing out candy to the kids; on October 31, get your zombie on while riding the light rail from Mill Avenue to downtown Phoenix and back during the Zombie Light Rail Ride. Zombie walks might be popping up everywhere from Helsinki to Rio de Janeiro, but event promoter Ogilvie of NuclearFallout points out that Phoenix’s first-ever undead mass-transit ride marks an “evolution.”

“The point is definitely to stay in character, but we also try to make people laugh,” he says. “The night itself is all about creating a new zombie medium with the light rail . . . and eradicating zombie prejudice through education and understanding.”

In other words, aim for the head.
