Do you ever feel like we're ashamed to believe that being fat is the worst possible thing that could ever happen to any human? We treat it like cancer – as if it’s something unpreventable that will suddenly strike us down. But that’s not true. Just do a little walking and the fat will stay away.

The folks at the Phoenix 10K get this concept, and they’ve got something for every fitness level. If the 10K race is a little too much for your chunky buns, they've got a 5K run, a 5K walk that benefits domestic violence prevention, and a 5K stroller stroll. Yep, that's right. They have a race for babies. We say if a baby can do it, you can, too.
