In the wacky, chicken-fried world of fairs, it’s not sex that sells. It’s violence – and the cheesier, the better. This year’s Arizona Exposition & State Fair goes out with some loud bangs and grunts during a couple of final-weekend highlights: the yearly spectacle of the Demolition Derby at the Grandstand (final bang-ups are at 7 tonight and Sunday) and the sixth annual United States Armwrestling Championships for both rippled dudes and chicks in the Arizona Lottery Backyard (today at 1 p.m.).
