Suns take on the other team that raises our hackles

Outside of the San Antonio Spurs, few teams stir our ire like the Detroit Pistons. We're not sure why, but it can probably be traced back to the Bad Boys days and their use of inelegant, physically brutal play, which yielded championships in 1989 and 1990.

While the team’s familiar blue-and-red threads might raise our hackles, the Motor City ballers are pretty hobbled these days, which should be good for the Phoenix Suns when they play host to the Pistons on Sunday, November 22. Prospects are pretty middling for Detroit, which sports first-year coach John Kuester, a 35-year-old center in Ben Wallace, and some early-season, injured-reserve contributors. In contrast, the Suns have blazed to their best start in about a decade as coach Alvin Gentry's gents have re-tapped into that orange-octane offense while stepping up their D.
