Sixty miles east of Phoenix in the tiny mining/antiques town of Miami, Arizona, Ken Boe produces work like a true artist and philosopher by focusing on the discovery of the universe, both at hand and of the mind. The experimental artist, poet, and playwright employs all possible objects that may be used to create mixed-media pieces and makes paintings with oils or hot wax.

Check out Ken Boe’s works at ©haos Gallery, 801 North 6th Street. Though a white-picket fence surrounds the space, conservative ideas of the American Dream definitely don’t reside inside the unassuming house. Rather, the Glen Woodford-run gallery seeks to bring back some of the radical downtown edge as First Fridays threaten to become a little too commercial. With Ken Boe’s show – which runs through the end of the month – as well as weekly classes, meetings, and music/poetry evenings, it looks like ©haos indeed reigns supreme.
