They’ve torn down all sorts of crap that we loved in this town – we use the word “crap” on their behalf; how else to explain the destruction? – but the majestic Orpheum Theatre is safe. The circa 1929 building at 200 West Washington Street, due to its National Register of Historic Places designation, isn’t going anywhere, so celebrate the almost 81-year old treasure during the Orpheum Theatre Tour, an hour-long jaunt through the what-used-to-be vaudeville house and cinema spot.
