We’ve lost our way a bit here in Arizona, thanks to over reliance on air conditioning, fancy resort spas, and grocery stores galore at every strip-mall corner. In other words, folks ‘round these parts are soft, doughy, and need an injection of the old school, which is exactly what one can get during the Arizona Statehood Celebration shindig at Rockin’ R Ranch. The dude ranch-themed eatery – which used to be a bona fide cattle ranch in the mid-1900s – is just about the perfect spot to celebrate Arizona Statehood Day (February 14, 1912) as the joint will feature the Howdy Show 1880s-style variety act, a Wild West reenactment by the Arizona Gunfighters, and a cowboy/cowgirl dinner of steak and rattlesnake sauce.
