We admit that, at desperate times, we've given in to the corporate gods and picked up coffee at a Starbucks. What can we say? When one is desperate, convenience is a dangerous temptress. Shameful, isn’t it?
If you're like us and prefer to give moolah to local businesses, we now have a chance for redemption. A slew of local coffeeshops will gather in one place at the Downtown Phoenix Coffeebar Potluck at Portland Park. At the free event hosted by “Light Rail Blogger” Tony Arranga, expect to see Cartel Coffeelab, Conspire, Lux Coffeebar, Fair Trade Café, Copper Star Coffee, Lola Coffeebar, Royal Coffee Bar, and Urban Bean keeping the java flowing and offering signature pastries. Now, how’s that for convenience?
