Try not to cheer too loud at the Phoenix Open

Among professional sports, golf has always seemed out of place. Part of it is the prevalence of fat guys, but a bigger part is the atmosphere: the PGA is the only sports organization we know of that actively discourages fan involvement. Boo.

If you’re looking for a more interactive golf experience, consider making your way to the Tournament Players Club of Scottsdale for the Waste Management Phoenix Open. The Open is usually the best-attended major, and, in the past, has been famous for its raucous crowds.
