Modesty is hardly one of DJ Emile's strong suits. The 30-something mixmaster loves lengthy diatribes, and his favorite subject for discussion is Phoenix's lackluster nightlife. It's plagued with boring dance music and low turnouts, Emile proclaims, paling in comparison to when he performed for hundreds with the elite Bombshelter DJs back in the '90s. He feels it's time to "reboot" things back to those days, hence CTRL+ALT+DEL, his new Wednesday-evening collaboration with pals Tricky T and Radar at 910 Live, 910 S. McClintock Drive in Tempe. Presumptuous? Perhaps, but the trio is hoping the night injects some old-school energy into the scene. Every week, they'll create a massively fly soundscape using six different turntables and number of special guests and friends booked by the Trickster, with the intention of "making some sick music and getting down." Word. Doors open at 9 p.m. with a $5 cover.
