That's where PechaKucha 20x20 comes in. The event originated in Tokyo, Japan, and allows anyone from professional visual artists to hobby photographers to share their stuff in a simple, easy-to-follow format. Every person involved presents 20 slides of their work for 20 seconds each (that’s six minutes and forty seconds total), resulting in an information-packed night. And, if the works or ideas inspire you to learn more, there's a mixer following the presentation so you can get to know the presenters.

At the event (they're held all over the world), a diverse group of about 10 artists – including urban designer Nan Ellin, web designer Robert Hoekman, Jr., and Arizona State University media arts student Wenhui Yu – will be on-hand.
