Pool party helps LGBT community

As a child, seeing who could hold his or her breath underwater the longest was all the rage at a pool party.

Well, this ain't that kind of party.

At the 21-and-older Echo Magazine’s Beach Ball 2010, some of the Valley's hottest peeps get together for a day full of drinking, ogling, and mingling poolside at the Wyndham Hotel, 50 East Adams Street. But the fiesta is not all about debauchery. Tickets, which are $10 each, benefit 1n10, a nonprofit dedicated to helping gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender youth.

Honestly, it’s the best excuse to squeeze into a bikini we’ve heard this season.

Get your glitter lotion ready since the shindig includes both male and female swimsuit competitions as dance DJ Roland Belmares spins behind the decks. And for those who'd like to crash after all the fun in the sun, the Wyndham's offering special rates for partiers at $89 a room.
