If the Phoenix concerts were anything like the concert he performed with the Kansas City Symphony a year ago, they were probably great. Saw Curry in Kansas City and was blown away by the quality of the show. His band is outstanding, and having such a legendary conductor, Lee Holdridge, was icing on the cake. I've been to several John Denver tribute concerts since John passed away and this concert definately exceeds any others in quality. Jim's sensitivity to John's memory and music draws you in. He is not "imitating" John, but instead brings a true tribute to Denver's memory. Jim's voice is excellent. I plan on paying a lot of money to go see him again when he performs with the Cincinnati Pops Symphony this November. Don't let the fact that this is a "tribute" concert keep you from attending one of Curry's concerts. You have no idea what you would be missing. He is wonderful!
