Schadenfreude – a pleasure gained at the expense of somebody’s misfortune – is petty and immature. Nonetheless, when your favorite team's playoff hopes are fading, sometimes it feels good to see another team that's even worse than yours.

If you want to watch another fan base suffer (or if you're a Chicago transplant), then you’ll be at Chase Field when the Arizona Diamondbacks host the Chicago Cubs. True, AZ has underperformed this season, but at least the players are young, talented, and cheap. The Cubs are stuck with the league's third highest payroll and nothing to show for it, save another losing record.
