Its likely that no one cares that one of the props used in FrogWoman, a new play by Theatre In My Basement founder Chris Danowski, is a device made with the 9Kv/15A transformer from an oil-fired boiler; has a power-surge relay override; two eighteen-inch, six-gauge copper electrodes; and is built on a hunk of vinyl-covered plywood covered with a spray-on neoprene black paint to resist grounding.
What people will presumably be interested in is being entertained by this locally written and produced play about a world-famous movie star whos been surgically enhanced to look like a human/frog hybrid. Almost certainly there will be some rags-to-riches philosophizing about whats important in life, and several hundred spoofing asides on Hollywood. Also, that cool transformer dealie.
The show is presented by Phoenix Rising Artists' Collaborative and directed by Th [sic] Sense Sketch Comedy Troupe founder Franc Gaxiola.
