Helping to keep Austin weird for years now, Bob Ray has a flair for capturing the everyday dramatic. Just look at Total Badass, a psychological treat chronicling the life and times of one man's search for redemption through pills, whiskey, weed, family, and rock ‘n’ roll. Or Hell On Wheels, the award-winning documentary that details, from the trenches, the rebirth of all-girl roller derby in Texas and the bone-crushing contention that begat the modern-day leagues across the nation. Then there are the hilariously weird animated shorts, Apesh!t and Platypus Rex, and mind-blowing soundtracks from such luminaries as ...And You Will Know Us by The Trail Of Dead, Nashville Pussy, and Mogwai.
