We’re talking about art.

As children, we gazed at Picasso’s play with color, body parts, and whacked-out compositions like it was no big deal. How did that happen? Blame it on Cézanne. Sure, we look at his paintings of landscapes and apples and don’t think much of it. But the man’s break with perspective and proper depictions of space sent the art world spinning in an entirely new direction that led to cubism – one of the most influential movements on American modernism.

Learn how it all went during “The Cézanne Effect,” a talk featuring ASU’s Mark Pomilio schooling you on all the things you want to know about this important artist.
