First Impressions

ASUAM wows with print collection

The rare objects in America that've endured since the 17th century tend toward breadbox-size, fragile, and amazing . . . just like the oldest pieces in “Lasting Impressions: Japanese Prints from the ASU Art Museum,” the first exhibition of several dozen prints usually housed in the museum's Jules Heller Print Study Room, where last fall's Japanese Art History Seminar studied and researched them, producing essays that are included in the show. (Yeah, Tempe's the place to pick up mad curatorial skillz -- boo-yah!)
