Revenge Pranks

Losing four in a row is all part of the scheme

The Arizona Diamondbacks may not win a lot of games, but they understand how to serve revenge. In July, the D-backs had a chance to damage the playoff hopes of their hated rivals, the San Francisco Giants. The fact that the Diamondbacks proceeded to drop four straight games to San Fran may seem like a sign of their ineptitude; in truth, it is a sign of their patience.

Z will host the Giants at Chase Field in a game that may very well be the culmination of an intricate revenge plot. By gifting those wins to the Giants earlier in the season, the boys in Sedona Red kept SF in playoff contention. Consequently, a loss this late in the season will be far more emotionally devastating for the Giants than a loss in July could have ever been.
