Inspirational and thoughtful, Joanes focuses on influential farmers, grocers, and city gardeners sharing their personal epiphanies and drive to inspire others to follow suit. ASU West's New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences hopes to forego what we see as inevitable for this nation of lazy asses by basing a freshman reading project on Pollan's book and hopefully opening a dialog among those of us hungry for change.
