Every culture has traditional dishes. The United States? Hamburgers and fries (love). Mexico? Burritos and tacos (freakin’ yum). The United Kingdom? Bangers and mash (ew).

How about Korea? We’re going with kimchi. This, the most common side dish in Korean cuisine, is made from fermented vegetables with varied seasonings, and you’ll have plenty opportunity to nosh on the stuff at the Arirang Korean Festival. Culture and cuisine will be the highlights of this one-day fest that includes grub (in addition to kimchi), dance, martial arts, crafts, and an intense kimchi contest with non-Korean competitors.
