Winner takes control of the NFC West

Even if you don’t follow football, you probably know that the Arizona Cardinals have quarterback issues. What you might not know is that the local homeboys are still alive and kicking in the race to win the NFC West. This fact makes today’s tilt between the Cards and the division-leading Seattle Seahawks at University of Phoenix Stadium a little more interesting. Due to the NFL’s tiebreaking rules (and the Cardinals’ loss last month in Seattle), this tussle could effectively be worth two games in the standings. A win would help AZ secure the tiebreaker advantage in a close NFC West, while a loss would guarantee a serious benefit for the Seahawks.
