Presented by Holy Archangels Orthodox Church and the Phoenix Russian Library Club, the Arizona Russian Festival will cram the culture of the largest land-area country in the world (spanning nine time zones) into a one-day, one-location celebration. Featuring live performances, including the Arizona Balalaika Orchestra and harpist Alla Yashneva, the event also boasts traditional food, works by Russian artists, workshops, games, video presentations on Orthodox icons and Russian folk music, handmade goods, and Russian sidecar motorcycles. Theres even a competition for best Russian folk costume.
