More About

It means “devil” in Italian, but Diavolo – the brainchild of the Parisian mastermind who’s created shows for Cirque de Soleil – is actually a group of dancers trained in ballet, modern dance, martial arts, and acrobatics. They perform what The Minneapolis Star Tribune calls “a wild mash-up between Cirque du Soleil and American Gladiators with Vegas-style showmanship” on a massive teeter-totter structure. Diavolo dancers leap, fly, twirl, catapult, slam, and swan-dive on a giant cube that turns into a pyramid, a huge spinning wheel, and a colossal ship-like platform.
