Its hard to hate on Channing Frye. The Phoenix Suns center is a local boy, and he seems like a nice guy. The ugly truth, however, is that Fryes softness has been a liability to a team that has found itself in the thick of a playoff race, thanks to the stellar play of newcomer Marcin Gortat.
Frye will have a chance to turn his season around when the Dallas Mavericks, owners of the second best record in the conference, make their way to US Airways Center. The Mavs have been excellent at exploiting weak interior defenders, so Frye will have to step up his game if the home squad is going to win.
