Black Comedy

“So, it’s Taco Bell,” says rant-happy comedian Lewis Black on the fast food giant’s latest lawsuit. “It’s not like you eat it when you’re sober. At three in the morning, when you’ve got those ‘meat goggles’ on, that non-beef filler looks like a porterhouse steak.”

Black, the stand-up comedian, author, and actor who tours over 200 nights a year around the globe, makes regular appearances on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and whose album, Stark Raving Black, won the Grammy for Best Comedy Album this year, will be bringing his brand of ranting, raving, and near mental breakdowns to the Orpheum Theatre, 200 West Washington Street, tackling topics like politics, trends, and the absurdities of life.

“It’s [the meat from Taco Bell] only thirty-six percent beef?” Black blusters. “Are you kidding? A Duraflame log is forty-two percent beef.”
