If your home looks like the set of Mad Men (or you wish it did), then drop that double Old Fashioned and set your WABAC time machine for Modern Phoenix Expo, a showcase of modern and contemporary architecture, interior design, landscaping, furniture, literature and home renovation.
This year’s event is loaded with presentations, seminars and workshops on topics such as researching your mid-century modern home, getting placed in the historical register, locating modern architecture in Scottsdale, and preserving Arizona’s roadside neon.
Vendors include Scottsdale modern housewares shop Artafax, Phoenix Metro Retro, Modern Manor, and jeweler Heidi Abrahamson, who specializes in contemporary silver. Loyd Parker Design and Diamondback Billiards will debut their modern pool table, and Industrial Living will have their custom coffee tables on display.
