With velvety skin, a sweet and juicy taste, and mythical virtues like immortality and abundance, the peach isnt just a tasty treat -- its a damn sexy stone fruit. And at this weekends Queen Creek Peach Festival, there are pickings aplenty of this fresh, fleshy temptation.
Hosted by the peach growers at the pulchritudinous Schnepf Farms, 24810 South Rittenhouse Road, this annual celebration will include plenty of peachy keen activities, such as a peach pancake breakfast, pie-eating contests, and a pit-spitting competition. Participants can pick peaches while taking a train trip through the orchard or stop by one of the peach-sampling tents. Carnival rides, petting zoos, and other kid-friendly distractions will also be available.
