Hate, sex, and drugs. Those are the qualities that unite the musical selections of DJ Squalor, with tunes coming from a wide spectrum of misanthropic genres industrial, EBM, electro, dance, experimental, and noise. "If it's dirty, wrong, fast, and has the right pulse, I drop that shit." Squalor provides the soundtrack for Fight Club Sadisco *, a wild, anything-goes party that features live music, DJs, and actual fighting between contestants who agree to climb into the cardboard-floor ring, scheduled to throw down Saturday, June 18, at The Firehouse Gallery 1015 North First Street. The event has earned a wild reputation around town, and Squalor is at the heart of the controversy, always eager to stir up a little trouble. The punches start flying at 8 p.m. with $11 strongly suggested as a donation.
