Whether you’re a crazy cat lady or simply like to ooh and ah at puppies, you can overdose on pet cuteness at this weekend’s Wonder Pet Expo at the Arizona State Fairgrounds.
“From gourmet treats to beds, anything ‘pets’ will be there,” says Kathy Hulin, who co-founded the new event with her husband. More than 100 vendors will be on hand, selling everything from pet doors to doggy diapers.
Apart from shopping, the expo features pet competitions, including water sporting at the Splash Dog event, in which tail-waggers compete for the longest leap over water. Weenie Races pit tiny desert Dachshunds against each other.
