Consider this: Just as you were shaking your Labor Day weekend hangover, Hank Williams III was busy releasing not one but four new albums and kicking off a 24-date tour. The outlandish four-album release explores the third-generation Williams' esoteric musical interests. A double album, Ghost to a Ghost/Gutter Town, expands on his patented "hellbilly" sound, while the other two albums, 3 Bar Ranch Cattle Callin' and Attention Deficit Domination, try out everything from Cajun-infused country to speed metal and "sludge." While an undertaking like this would seemingly require years to pull off, Hank3 has managed to make it all happen in a matter of months. Attention Deficit Domination marks a departure from the fast-paced hardcore ruckus fans of Williams' punk rock project, Assjack, have become used to, and replaced it with much more somber and brooding melodies. Through it all, Williams has managed to make his own mark in music while remaining true to the outlaw country roots his family defined.
