Womens wear designer Betsey Johnson has a fashion formula. Take a leotard and add a skirt, she once quipped of her punk-meets-feminine aesthetic.

That might come as a surprise to Fashion FWD attendees who will catch a runway production of Johnsons fall 2011 line He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, on the pool deck of the W Hotel Scottsdale. The designer has a penchant for whimsical designs that look anything but formulaic.
In the He Loves Me collection, which debuted at New York Fashion Week in the spring, Johnson stays true to her quirky roots, but her offbeat styling will keep spectators on the edge of their seats. The collection mixes bold plaid with floral and leopard prints, cabbage rose details, and plenty of polka dots.
While Johnson wont be on hand to do her signature cartwheel at the end of the show, there will be plenty of fanfare to substitute. Male models will pass out roses to the crowd throughout the night, and a dance crew will perform.
