Imagine trapping Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in a room with Jennifer Aniston and her baby-daddy hopeful of the month. Add a little vino to the occasion and no doubt Jolie would go all Tomb Raider on Aniston’s ass while the boys sit back and watch the girl-on-girl action.

Granted, the protagonists of French playwright Yasmina Reza’s Life X 3 are mild-mannered astrophysicists, not overdramatic and overpaid actors, but you’ll still see fireworks when two couples collide in three different versions of one evening in Theatre Artists Studio’s production, on stage through October 30.

The show opens with renowned scientist Henri and his wife Sonia struggling with their angsty 6-year-old. When co-worker Hubert and his partner Inez arrive at the couple’s Parisian flat a day early for a dinner party, the proverbial merde hits the fan.
