No one is Tony Hawk from the start, and the locals participating in Cowtown Skateboards’ Locals Only Skateboard Contest know it. If you have the skills (or a taste for humiliation) you can join in the competition. The Pumpkin Carving Contest (“carving” as in leaning one way or another to direct a board) is a death race to see who can cut up the obstacle course fastest. Not quite an expert? Divisions for the event range from pee wee to advanced, but don’t bank on getting into the lowest bracket unless you’re between the ages of 6 and 9.

It’s free to enter, free to watch and the Cowtown folks will be doing a free raffle.
