When residents of major metropolitan areas with rich, renowned culture rib inhabitants of burgeoning cities, it’s kind of like elder siblings prodding younger ones because they fail, year after year, to catch up in age.

At least, that's the case with Phoenix, a relatively young city with an inferiority complex and a nearby big city: Los Angeles.
