When imagining what a “face for radio” might look like, it’s possible that a mental picture of Garrison Keillor’s mug appears. The man on the radio in the red shoes (with the squidgy face) has hosted the folksy program A Prairie Home Companion on and off for some 40 years, and, now that he’s pushing 70, Keillor seems set on retiring come spring of 2013.

That means his Thursday, February 2, appearance at Celebrity Theatre could very well be his last performance in the Valley before the whistling allegorist calls it quits, as his current tour is rumored to be a farewell to fans.
