The 19th Hole

Unless you closely follow Tiger Woods’ travails in balancing girlfriends, golf isn't always the sexiest of sports. Movies like Caddyshack and Happy Gilmore make golf look fun, but, let’s face it, pulling a Happy and accusing a golf ball of being too good for its home would be in poor taste at a tournament.

Fortunately, the Waste Management Phoenix Open proves enjoyable for golf enthusiasts and partygoers alike. The Birds Nest serve as party central with a live performance from The Goo Goo Dolls, and a DJ set from Black Eyed Peas’ Will.i.am. Fans can test their golf skills in the Albertson’s Fan Zone, which includes snazzy prizes such as a brand new Mercedes Benz and meals from a variety of restaurants, including PF Chang’s and Garcia’s. The only thing missing is Bill Murray trying to catch that pesky gopher.
